ABOUT US

„Ąžuoliukas” or „Little Oak” is renowned not only for having some of the most beautiful voices in Lithuania but also for its unique tradition that merges a highly skilled choir with a professional music education school. The distinguished conductor Herman Perelstein established Lithuania’s first boys’ choir during the Soviet era, demonstrating that we are part of European culture by following the finest examples of boys’ and men’s choirs in Europe.

For over 40 years, Vytautas Miškinis, a disciple of H. Perelstein, has led the „Ąžuoliukas” choir, preserving and nurturing its traditions. The choir, which has earned international acclaim, has won numerous competitions, participated in various projects, and built an extensive repertoire of songs, particularly large-scale works performed with symphony orchestras.
